IPG helps gh AUER GUSS GmbH get ‘luxury fast car’ component production up to speed

Having delivered one High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) machine already, ItalPresseGauss (IPG) is now finalizing installation of a complete HPDC cell that will help gh AUER GUSS GmbH fulfil magnesium component orders from one of the world’s leading ‘luxury fast car’ brands.

Based in Amberg, Germany, gh AUER GUSS supplies high quality lightweight metal parts to a range of customers – from automotive, e-bike, and sports equipment manufacturers, to medical technology specialists.

Quality equipment delivered on deadline

For over 35 years, the die casting expert has used IPG HPDC machines to live up to its company motto – “success through quality”.

When a tight-turnaround project came up to ensure it could meet production requirements for a world-renowned sports car manufacturer, Christoph Hundseder, Geschäftsführungat gh AUER GUSS knew exactly who to turn to.

A partnership built on performance and expertise

Having worked with gh AUER GUSS since the early 90s, IPG HPDC machines (toggle and toggle free) and automated cells can be found in every casting hall at the Amberg site.
These are used for producing parts in both aluminium and magnesium, giving AUER GUSS the business flexibility that they need, and value.

Mr. Hundseder added: “We supply components – often very intricate in nature – made from various aluminium and magnesium alloys. IPG can also provide in-house automation expertise and there aren’t many HPDC equipment suppliers who offer high performance machines and cells suitable for either metal.
We have benefitted from this comprehensive offering for a long time and we look forward to strengthening this collaboration in the near future.”
